Wherever large numbers of pallets must be moved in a short time, multi-pallet handling devices are now widely used. The modern solution is multi-pallet forks, which allow the simultaneous transport of 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 or even 8 pallets at once.

In the beverage industry, bottles are inherently unstable as a load. Even though standard multi-pallet forks are equipped with a load backrest on each fork that acts like a protective grid, this is often not sufficient.

Additional stabilization can be achieved using chains or crossbars to increase the support and protective effect. However, in some demanding industrial applications even these solutions are not enough to prevent product damage while maintaining the required loading speed.
For such challenging environments, the combination of load stabilizers and double-pallet forks can provide an excellent solution.

For a major beer and soft drink producer, Durwen has developed special load stabilizers for multi-pallet forks. The profiles are closed on the load side to prevent contamination, and the guide systems require very little maintenance.

By using one load stabilizer per fork pair and the F-shaped pressure plates, it is possible to handle one or two pallets safely and efficiently, even when pallet heights differ.
As a result, both loading speed and operational safety were significantly improved.
