Online materials handling equipment parts platform TREX.PARTS, a joint venture between Jungheinrich and the FRICKE Group, has opened a new warehouse location at its headquarters in Sittensen, Germany to accommodate its growth.

TREX.PARTS says the new warehouse, which will more than double its existing capacity and was built for “several million euros”, will support the company’s growth expectations until at least 2030.

TREX.PARTS has customers in more than 60 countries with a range of more than 14 million items – including spare parts from original manufacturers, private labels and TREX.PARTS' own brand.

It currently ships between 2,000 to 3,000 order lines each day and states the capacity of the new warehouse is expected to increase this to as much as 10,000 lines daily in the future.

“This creates a logistics space designed for increasing order volumes and international customer requirements over the long term,” TREX.PARTS states.

“For customers, the expansion primarily means greater operational performance in day-to-day business: additional storage capacity for a growing spare parts range, improved availability of high-demand items and more efficient processes in goods receipt, picking and shipping.”

A further 50 employees will be engaged at the site.

"Our customers need spare parts that can be identified quickly, are available and can be shipped reliably,” says TREX.PARTS managing director Christoph Böttcher.

“With the new logistics space, we are creating the conditions to deliver exactly that, even as demand continues to grow. This expansion is …not only a local step, but an important building block for our international performance.”

The first customer order from the new warehouse is scheduled to be shipped in June.
