Mevea partners with GPE to offer simulator trainingFinnish port equipment training simulator providers Mevea, has joined forces with Global Port Equipment (GPE), in a strategic agreement which will see the simulation training tool offered globally.
Under the agreement, the Amsterdam global headquarters of GPE - a subsidiary of port equipment, cranes and solutions provider Forkliftcenter – will host the Mevea Port Equipment Experience Center and the GPE Academy.
The academy is a dedicated environment where customers, operators, and partners can experience advanced simulator technology, hands-on training, and innovation within modern port operations.
The Amsterdam facility will also support Mevea’s global logistics activities.
Mevea states the partnership strengthens the ability of both businesses “to support safer, smarter, and more efficient operations within port and terminal environments”.
By combining Mevea’s advanced physics-based simulator technology with GPE’s extensive equipment expertise and global customer network, the companies state they aim to deliver added value throughout the entire equipment lifecycle from operator training and skills development to operational readiness and performance optimisation.
Raimo Nikkilä, sales and marketing director at Mevea, says: “We are excited to partner with Global Port Equipment, a company recognised for its extensive equipment expertise and strong global customer network spanning more than 150 countries”.
“This co-operation marks an important expansion of Mevea’s global partner network and strengthens our ability to support customers worldwide,” Nikkilä continues.
