Swarm Automation Transport is designed to support various warehouse activities
Toyota Material Handling has introduced Swarm Automation Transport, an automated warehouse transport system that combines the Toyota SAI125CB Automated Counterbalance Stacker with T-ONE Control System, intelligent automation software.
According to the company, the solution is suitable for a wide range of industries, including warehouse logistics, industrial production and manufacturing, retail distribution and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), food retail, as well as other dynamic sectors such as parcel delivery, airport operations, and e-commerce.
Suitable for integration into any warehouse environment, Swarm Automation Transport can be deployed for fully automated performance and engineered to operate with other automated guided vehicles (AGVs), including Toyota’s automated reach trucks.
Swarm Automation Transport is also suitable for businesses looking to start their automation journey. It supports a hybrid, semi-automated functionality as employed by those who decide to combine some automation with manual handling.
A holistic solution, it is particularly valuable for operations that handle multiple pallet types, like euro pallets or bottom-deck pallets, or require specific handling procedures such as turned pallet loading.
“Swarm Automation Transport marks a major step in our mission to make automation accessible to every warehouse,” says José Maria Gener, vice president sales and marketing at Toyota Material Handling Europe.
“By combining the strength of our automated counterbalanced stacker with the intelligence of our automation software T-ONE, we’re giving customers a scalable solution that elevates safety, efficiency and performance across their entire operation.”
