Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) has acquired a Traralgon forklift distributor, which will become the company’s newest branch.

TMHA previously served the Gippsland region from its Dandenong branch but growing demand meant the company wanted a local dedicated presence.

“This dedicated TMHA facility provides us with room to grow the business and bring on more customers, which we will certainly be looking to do," says TMHA president and chief executive officer Steve Takacs.

Staff of the existing forklift distributor will transition to the new TMHA Traralgon branch and become TMHA employees.

TMHA's range of Toyota forklifts, Huski Construction Equipment and other allied products will be available at the new branch, which has a workshop for service work, as well as fabrication and general workshop bays.

The facility also has pallet racking for parts and pre-delivery storage, a freight dispatch bay, machine storage areas and a generous office space.
