SSI Schaefer and Moffett Automation partner to further automation possibilitiesGerman-headquartered intralogistics provider SSI Schaefer has announced it is partnering with Moffett Automation, an Irish provider of high-density pallet storage systems incorporating free-roaming shuttle technology, in a collaboration it says will help to shape the future of warehouse automation.
SSI Schaefer says the partnership “will make it easier for customers to deploy modern, scalable pallet shuttle systems that meet demanding performance and space requirements” and makes automation feasible in places where it was previously seen as too expensive or complex.
Sam Moffett, founder and managing director at Moffett Automation, explains the combination of the free-roaming shuttle system with Schaefer’s WAMAS warehouse management system creates “highly innovative solutions that give customers the confidence to automate - even in the most complex or space-constrained buildings”.
Markus Schellinger, head of market sector production logistics at SSI Schaefer adds: “The free roaming shuttle technology is a true game changer, especially at a time when flexibility and efficiency are crucial”.
“By expanding our portfolio, we can offer even better scalability and support our customers in their growth," he continues. "They also benefit from easy integration into existing WMS systems and AI-supported route planning.”
The companies say the first joint projects are currently being prepared.
