Pudu Robotics CEO Felix Zhang has a lot to celebrateCommercial service robotics specialists, Pudu Robotics, has raised nearly USD150 million in a new funding round and opened a new global headquarters in Shenzen.
China-based Pudu Robotics reports there has been rapid adoption of its industrial delivery robots with more than 4,000 shipped within one year of launch.
Pudu launched Pudu D9, its first full-sized, bipedal humanoid robot which is capable of performing a wide range of warehouse tasks, in January 2025.
Pudu Robotics CEO and founder, Felix Zhang, says the new funding is a “powerful validation” of the business.
“Proceeds from the financing will be strategically deployed to accelerate the development of embodied AI technologies, expand the company’s product portfolio, deepen global market expansion, scale manufacturing capacity, and further strengthen supply chain capabilities,” Pudu states.
“These initiatives are designed to reinforce the company’s leadership in the rapidly evolving commercial service robotics sector and laying a solid foundation for future capital market milestones.”
The announcement comes within weeks of Pudu Robotics hosting the official launch of its new global headquarters in Shenzen.
The company states the new site underwent “13 meticulous design iterations” to serve as a hub for research and design innovation, global operations and a centre for collaboration.
At the opening ceremony of the new headquarters, Zhang explains the milestone marks a fresh starting point for the robotics specialists.
“Moving forward, Pudu will leverage this new hub to continuously advance our four core product lines - service delivery, commercial cleaning, industrial delivery, and general embodied AI," Zhang adds.
“We aim to grow into a hundred-billion-level robotics enterprise, moving steadily toward our vision of serving 10 billion people worldwide.”
