Hyster reach stackers offer savings
Fleet, United KingdomHyster Europe has launched a new range of low-emission reach stackers for container handling that it believes can cut fuel use by up to 23% in some intensive operations.
The reach stackers, which meet the Tier 4i Stage IIIB emissions regulations, use the new Cummins QSL9 diesel engine. Hyster says it has combined cooled exhaust gas recirculation with an improved High Pressure Common Rail fuel system to enable cleaner and more efficient combustion.
Meese Orbitron Dunne launches bulk forklift containers
Ashtabula, OH, United StatesRecycling product maker Meese Oribitron Dunne Co (MOD) has introduced rugged bulk forklift containers moulded from 100% high-density polyethylene, which it claims has sturdy and consistent wall thickness and rigidity.
The containers can accommodate up to 700 lb. (317.5 kg) of concrete debris, metal, rebar, splintered wood and other construction and demolition materials without cracking, puncturing or collapsing. They enable large volumes of materials to be accumulated, picked up by a forklift and dumped into a roll-off container or transferred to a trailer.
MCFA's new walkie stacker
Houston, TX, United StatesMitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc (MCFA) has added the Jungheinrich EJC B14.EJC B16 heavy-duty electric walkie straddle stacker to its North American line.
MCFA says Jungheinrich engineers focused on increasing energy efficiency and reducing life cycle costs with the new EJC series three-phase AC technology drive system. Enhancements to the drive system are expected to result in longer battery life and more run time.
