Noblelift signs deal with Malaysian supplier for 2,500 scissor liftsMalaysian-headquartered materials handling equipment rental business Ban Ngai, has signed a deal with Chinese equipment maker Noblelift for 2,500 new scissor lifts.
Ban Ngai currently has a fleet of more than 3,300 aerial machines and 400-plus forklifts and reach trucks across Southeast Asia.
The new order of scissor lifts will be equipped with Noblelift's proprietary telematics system, enabling location mapping, geofencing, remote locking and troubleshooting. It will also be integrated with Ban Ngai's MCS ERP system, to create a stable, efficient, and cohesive digital infrastructure to facilitate the scaling up of Ban Ngai's fleet and operations.
Noblelift, which has partnered with Ban Ngai for more than 20 years, says existing orders will take Ban Ngai’s fleet to more than 5,000 aerial machines by the end of Q1 2027.
“This will place them among the top three rental providers across key Southeast Asian markets including Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines, with plans to enter Vietnam and Singapore in the short to medium term,” Noblelift states of Ban Ngai.
Noblelift adds orders placed by Ban Ngai with them this year are estimated to be worth USD25 million and consist mainly of scissor lifts, forklifts and reach trucks. It also includes major equipment improvements such as full electrophoresis coatings for the entire scissor lift, high-capacity lithium-ion batteries which exceed the industry standards and, “improved structure and components to create a more rigid and functional machines that will withstand years of demanding use on construction sites”.
Noblelift says the scissor lift deal lays a solid foundation for Ban Ngai’s global expansion strategy, which includes an existing Noblelift sole distributorship in Nigeria, and planned new operations in Ghana and Bissau in the near future.
