Nobelift's new Omega AI forkliftMODEX is underway in Atlanta and one of the most-hyped product launches of the event has been the Omega AI forklift from Noblelift North America, which says the new machine is “future-proofing” the forklift.
Bill Pedriana, president of Noblelift North America says the Omega “is not just a new forklift, it represents a revolutionary step in human machine potential in the supply chain”.
Noblelift is calling the 5,000 to 6,500 lbs. (2,268 to 2,948kg) capacity forklifts as “beyond incremental upgrades” and instead, “reimagining what a forklift can be”.
It combines onboard AI, cloud-based services to deliver advanced safety and productivity tools on a purpose-built chassis which supports entirely new workflows and business models in material handling, Noblelift North America states.
“At the core of the Omega is Noblelift’s AI touchscreen and voice interaction tablet-based HTML5 operating system called NobleOne, featuring native onboard AI with edge computing and inference via Nvidia AGX,” Noblelift continues.
What this offers is human-centric telematics and data services for real-time visibility, onboard operator training and skills development and, human-in-the-loop (HITL) AGV/AMR orchestration for hybrid automation.
Noblelift says the ability for open platform integration future-proofs the forklift, allowing it to “take advantage of all new technology that will come on to the supply chain”.
Each unit of the Omega’s MERC (mobile energy recovery cell) swappable lithium system, features two 28 kg, 80V/30Ah MERC cells, enabling in-situ dynamic charging that supports up to 99.9% uptime in most applications.
Noblelift says the design allows the main 80V/277Ah battery to charge while the vehicle is in use and can recover 30% of total battery capacity in as little as one hour on high-speed charging, with MERC cell swaps completed in under two minutes.
“By combining native AI, real-time robotics orchestration, and a modular, swappable lithium energy system to eliminate down time, we’re giving operations a smarter, safer, and dramatically more productive way to run their facilities and easily deploy the latest technologies as they come to market,” Pedriana continues.
Other product launches at MODEX include, but are not limited to, Big Joe Forklifts unveiling a new electric forklift and optimisation tool, Corvus Robotics launching Corvus Trident, an AI-powered device which tracks pallets from dock door to departure and, Hangcha’s XEN scissor lift and upcoming reach truck.
We will have more news on these and other launches at MODEX 2026 in next week’s Forkliftaction News.
