Clark gives preview to North American team
Thursday, 10 Feb 2011 ( #500 ) - Lexington, KY, United States
News Story
Clark's OSX order selector
Clark Material Handling Co will feature new products at ProMat 2011 in Chicago in March, but its North American dealers have had a sneak preview of the OSX order selector, the CTX sitdown tugger and other equipment. Clark expects to release OSX pricing in mid-February.

Bo Maslanyk, vice president of sales and marketing, spearheads the Road-to-Success product launch tour, aiming to reach more than 350 Clark professionals. Presentations are a combination of classroom and hands-on application and driving opportunities.

The first two-day program took place on 25-26 January at the company’s headquarters in Lexington, and subsequent events occurred on 31 January-1 February at JH Ryder Machinery Ltd in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada near Toronto; 3-4 February at Equipment Depot of Pennsylvania in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; and 7-8 February at Forklifts of Minnesota Inc in Bloomington, Minnesota near Minneapolis. The remaining presentations will take place on 10-11 February at Equipment Depot of Texas in Houston, Texas; 15-16 February at Holt of California in Sacramento, California; and 17-18 February at MidCo Material Handling of Auburn, Washington in the Seattle market.

Sites were selected to maximise dealer participation.

In addition to the OSX and CTX offerings, product extensions on display include the GEX four-wheel electric, the GTX three-wheel electric and the C40/55 internal combustion pneumatic tyred rider. Clark shipped one of each truck to each site in advance of the presentations.

Attendees have heard  detailed reviews of current Clark engine options, features and benefits of the Clark Totalift series of industrial batteries and chargers and, from Farruk Ghani, vice president of finance, available retail finance options.

"Spending time with Clark salespeople from across North America is one of the most important things we will do this year," says Scott Johnson, vice president of business development.

Generally, Clark Material Handling holds product launches in conjunction with national sales meetings. "We have not done something like this (tour) in quite some time," Johnson notes. "I would say our record for product launches in general is very, very good."
