Mainfreight is expanding its regional network
Global logistics provider Mainfreight has opened a new transport branch in Toowoomba, Queensland to expand its reach into regional Australia.

Toowoomba is a booming regional centre, according to the company, which notes that Toowoomba exports around 70% of its manufacturing and agriculture output.

"The majority of it goes to the Australian market, but there is a growing demand from international markets," says a Mainfreight statement.

"As an exporting region, local industries rely on the distribution of product to meet the growing demand from domestic and overseas markets. From our new branch in Toowoomba, … products are controlled through our comprehensive local and global network of purpose-built facilities and delivered by our owner-drivers.

"Our service is supported by a freight management technology suite that reduces workload in all areas of business."

The new depot has daily pick-up and deliveries throughout the region, including Dalby, Warwick and Kingaroy.
