Doosan Corp., the holding company of South Korea’s leading machinery and construction equipment conglomerate Doosan Group, has opened a new forklift rental and maintenance centre that will offer customers upgraded, comprehensive services in one place.

Doosan last week opened  the Doosan Logipia forklift rental business centre in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. The Doosan Logipia, with a total floor area of 2,420 sqm, is designed to offer comprehensive services related to forklift truck rentals, including a rental service, a showroom, and repair and maintenance services, according to the company.

The company will offer a wide variety of forklift trucks for rental, including electric forklifts fitted with lithium-ion rechargeable batteries. It will also provide loans for customers who rent or purchase machines and equipment at the centre. All used forklifts will undergo a seven-step examination process for quality assurance.

Doosan has been aggressively moving to expand its forklift business. It took over a British forklift rental service firm, Rushlift, in 2015 and opened a factory store in Atlanta, Georgia, United States last year.
