 FSO's new premises |
Forklift Services of Oregon (FSO) has moved to a new facility in Portland, Oregon.
The new 20,000 sqft. (1,850 sqm) premises will allow the company to serve the ever-increasing demand from its customer base, according to Jeff Darling, vice president - operations.
The new facility, set on a 3.9 ac. (15,783 sqm) site, has two 7.5 T bridge cranes and one 1 T bridge crane, and eight oversized bay doors providing 16 work stations. The site has covered equipment storage and a separate paint booth.
FSO is an authorised Caterpillar, Mitsubishi, Jungheinrich, Taylor and Big Joe forklift dealer for Oregon and the Southern Washington State counties.
FSO is part of Forklift Services of America, which was formed from Washington Liftruck (WLT) when it acquired the Halton Equipment Company's materials handling division (providing primarily Caterpillar forklifts in the State of Oregon) in 1999.
"This (expansion) will allow our company to continue to improve service turnaround times," says Darling. "At the same time, the larger footprint will allow us to investigate additional product offerings."
The expanded dealership may take on additional technicians to assist with its growth.
