Blom Lift Truck Training, one of the foremost trainers of forklift drivers in the Netherlands, with 16 training centers throughout the country, recommends RAVAS-SafeLoad. Roy Groothuis, Operational Director: "During the training sessions we provide, safety on and around forklifts is an aspect of major importance. RAVAS-SafeLoad is an interesting product that can help the lift truck driver lift loads safely."

RAVAS-SafeLoad: an active load diagram

Every forklift truck has a load diagram that indicates what the safe lifting capacity is at the actual weight and load center position of the load on the forks. The forklift driver is supposed to use that information to lift loads safely and avoid tipping over.

In practice this is easier said than done: at the moment he lifts a load, the driver hardly ever knows the weight and load center point. RAVAS-SafeLoad is designed to assist him. The system constantly monitors the moment forces from the load on the forks and acts like an active load diagram: it uses a LED bar and a buzzer to warn the driver in case of unsafe lifting.

Blom Lift Truck Training mentions SafeLoad during training sessions

Blom Lift truck Training provides theoretical and practical training sessions for lift truck drivers. Efficient and safe operation of the truck is the main goal. When Roy Groothuis, Operational Director at Blom, heard of the existence of RAVAS-SafeLoad, he was sufficiently interested to request a demonstration at RAVAS.

"Overloading of lift trucks is a very common problem. In my opinion SafeLoad can be very useful when loading and offloading freight trucks, and when storing goods in warehouse racking. For improving personal safety on and around lift trucks, for avoiding material damage, and for reducing maintenance costs on forklifts. We will probably start mentioning RAVAS-SafeLoad during our trainings", says Roy Groothuis.
