According to Craig James; Chief Economist with CommSec , Investment in plant and equipment is up 27.6% in Queensland. Get involved, with Queensland Equipment Expo 2012.

As Queensland digs in to repair flood damaged infrastructure, experts predict a multi-year timeframe and billions of dollars will be required. Sewage systems and parks will require substantial investment, as well as roads & footpaths. Greg Hallam, CEO of the Local Government Authority of Queensland (LGAQ) estimates 70,000 - 90,000 kilometers of council roads require attention. "If the damage to roads is so immense that the pavement has been underwater for weeks, then you don't just go and put a reseal on top of it, you have got to go right back to the base". Opportunities also abound for assisting the mining & minerals processing markets in their return to full capacity he said.

Also leveraging on the strong mining industry and the tremendous output and consumption of Infrastructure & Construction equipment in Queensland, the Queensland Equipment Expo (QEExpo2012) provides an excellent trading platform & gateway for suppliers to expand their distribution network, meet new partners and look for new business opportunities in Queensland.

The event is being well received by the market as an opportunity to connect relevant stakeholders as they push forward in repair efforts. Both the Exhibitors and Visitors are also looking to QEExpo2012 to fill the gap created by the loss of the "Truck & Machinery Show", which no longer caters to plant and equipment buyers.

The inaugural QEExpo to be staged in 2012 will place its focus on providing quality buyers from three major industries in Queensland. It will concentrate on the southeast, together with the heavy industry base in the northeast, as well as other important resource-rich communities across Queensland. The event is geared to attract thousands of trade professionals, offering an overview of first-hand market intelligence and technology advancement, boasting a complete line-up of earthmoving, infrastructure and construction equipment stakeholders The design and concept of QEExpo 2012 is a pre-budget event to encourage local councils, state departments; mining, construction, infrastructure companies and SME to spend the remainder of their budget before the end of financial year on opportune deals. By the same token, it also encourages the OEM to clear their stock and provide best possible prices for buyers.

QEExpo 2012 offers complete options for exhibitors, sponsors and show partners to conduct quality business transactions. The event also focuses on supporting key elements based around new and existing products and programmes specifically targeted to this industry.

QEExpo 2012 is the place to conduct sourcing and purchasing and learn the latest trends in the market. A trade event that brings the world of equipment together in three days to the fastest growing region in Australia.

With high impact, multi-channel marketing campaigns for the show ramping up we look forward to assisting our exhibitors and guests to "Unearth the Possibilities", as they interact and network with colleagues, affiliates, competitors and potential customers. QEExpo2012 will run from 19-21 April 2012 at the RNA Showground in Brisbane with 4,000 expected trade visitors.
