Konecranes’ executive vice president, people & culture, Anneli Karkovirta, has announced she is retiring in the summer of 2026.
The search for her replacement has now started and Karkovirta will stay in the role until her successor starts.
Karkovirta started with Konecranes in 2014 as head of human resources management. In this time she has held a number of other roles including VP HR for the EMEA region.
“It has been a pleasure and a privilege to be part of the Konecranes team,” she says. “I have truly enjoyed the journey both professionally and personally.
“We have achieved a lot together with great colleagues around the globe, renewed our values and built a strong culture, as well as modernised and developed the People & Culture operations.”
Konecranes CEO and president, Marko Tulokas, adds: “I would like to warmly thank Anneli for her commitment and contribution to Konecranes over the past 12 years. She has played a key role in the creation of the successful company that Konecranes is today.”

James Dunn
James Dunn has been appointed to the role of manager - motive power and warehouse with Briggs Industrial Solutions.
Dunn started with Briggs as Florida sales manager in April 2020 before taking on the position of sales manager - warehouse solutions in 2025.
He brings more than 20 years of metric-driven sales management to his new position.
"I'm looking forward to growing Briggs Motive Power division as we continue to provide comprehensive solutions to our customers' material handling needs,” Dunn says in a LinkedIn post.
