Alex Dicke has been named senior vice president with Crown Equipment, making him the fifth generation of the Dicke family to serve as a senior executive for the materials handling equipment manufacturer.
He will join the company in March, 2026 and will succeed current senior vice president John Tate who has announced his retirement after working for more than 35 years with Crown.
Dicke’s father, James F Dicke III is the current president of Crown and his grandfather, James F Dicke II is chairman and CEO.
“We’re pleased that Alex will be joining the executive leadership team at Crown,” says Jim Dicke III, president, Crown Equipment. “He will play an important role in working with the rest of our senior leaders to continue to grow our global business.”
Alex Dicke joins Crown from Abercrombie & Fitch in Columbus, Ohio. He is a graduate of the Wake Forest University School of Business.

Alexander Zeilhofer
German-headquartered AMR developer, idealworks has appointed Alexander Zeilhofer to the role of sales vice president.
Zeilhofer most recently worked with Jungheinrich as director of sales optimisation and technical account management mobile robotics. He was with Jungheinrich for 10 years where he specialised in AGV technology development and sales.
“His career has been deeply rooted in the world of AGVs and AMRs,” idealworks states. “From supporting customers directly on-site during project implementations to developing and executing international sales strategies.
“Alex brings a strong understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, and the strategic levers required to scale automation solutions globally. He joins idealworks at a pivotal time, with exciting developments on all fronts as well as a rapidly expanding customer base across industries.”

Industry advocacy body Logistics UK, has named James Mill as its new head of trade policy where his focus will be on ensuring members are well placed to anticipate and manage change related to trade and border issues while also engaging with ministers and senior government officials.
Mills has more than 20 years’ experience working with Logistics UK, having held senior level roles across national and regional organisations. He has also previously worked in leadership roles with Transport for the North and the Labour Party.
“In recent years we have seen rapid and often complex change for businesses moving goods across borders, making it essential that policy supports efficient trade and supply chain resilience,” says Mills.
“I’m excited to be joining Logistics UK and working closely with members and key stakeholders across the sector to help ensure the industry’s voice is heard clearly in trade and border policy areas.”
