MiMA Forklifts has launched a new AGV bodyChina’s MiMA Forklifts has launched its newest autonomous guided vehicle (AGV) body to market describing it as “the new standard for intelligent, heavy-duty material handing” and stating it redefines autonomy.
The 3.5 to 5T MKV Series four-wheel counterbalance AGV body has been designed for precision and power and can be used for both indoor and outdoor applications.
It features dual electric steering which replaces “outdated” hydraulic systems with dual-wheel independent control. This allows for 0.1-degree steering precision and offers a millisecond response which MiMA claims is 10 times faster than hydraulic systems, and allows for true 360-degree rotation in tight spaces.
The MKV Series four-wheel design allows for improved stability and is able to handle jobs from heavy pallet transport and stacking to yard-to-warehouse logistics and container unloading.
Other features include being weatherproof, full-wheel braking with three modes, operator presence sensing, load handling safeguards and low profile overhead guard for confined spaces.
MiMA says the MKV Series allows for a seamless switch between manual and autonomous modes with human-centric features including an intuitive LED dashboard, wide-mast view for clear visibility, adjustable steering wheel and seat and pre-installed interfaces for easy AGV sensor integration.
