The deadline for MHEFI scholarship applications is closingThe Material Handing Education Foundation (MHEFI) is now accepting applications for its 2026 scholarship programs with the deadline for submissions set at January 31.
To be eligible, students must be enrolled for both the fall 2026 and spring 2027 academic term at a non-profit college or university in the United States, accredited by the Council for Higher Education and, pursuing a career in materials handling, logistics or the supply chain.
Students studying the following disciplines are encouraged to apply:
- Industrial engineering
- Industrial distribution
- Mechanical & electrical engineering
- Structural engineering with a focus on cold-formed steel design
- Computer science related to material handling
- Business & management related to material handling or supply chain management
- Imaging and camera-based vision systems, LIDAR sensors, and RADAR sensors technologies
- Engineering technology
“Eligible students should clearly demonstrate dedication to achieving excellence, strong leadership skills, potential for future growth as a leader, and persistence in the pursuit of education,” MHEFI states.
The scholarship amounts range between USD1,500 and USD6,000 and must be used for costs relating to tuition, fees, and books associated with attending school full-time.
Scholarships are one-year awards and former recipients of the award are able to re-apply each year if they meet the eligibility requirements.
To apply for a scholarship, applicants must first be nominated by a professor, faculty member, or employer (direct supervisor/manager or senior company official).
