Manitou records strong H1 and Q2 resultsFrench rough-terrain materials handling and lifting equipment maker Manitou Group, is reporting H1 2026 revenue of EUR1.43 billion (USD1.65 billion), an increase of 12% year-on-year. It is also reporting Q2 revenues of EUR780 million (USD899 million), a jump of 15.6% y-o-y.
President Sylvain Blaise describes this as “remarkable momentum”.
“In a complex global environment, Europe established itself as our primary growth driver (+16.6%), driven by the rental and agricultural sectors,” Blaise continues. “Despite headwinds in North America due to tariffs and a LAPAM region impacted by Asian competition and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, our fundamentals remain strong.”
Manitou records strong H1 and Q2 results
Manitou states its Q2 order book was EUR1.09 billion (USD1.23 billion), an increase of 4.4% y-o-y and providing approximately six months of visibility for machine sales.
Recurring operating income for H1was EUR87 million (USD100 million), an increase of 33.4% y-o-y, which Manitou says was driven by robust purchasing performance and optimised industrial efficiency, and was achieved despite price pressures and the impact of tariffs.
Net income for the period was EUR51 million (USD58.8 million), an increase of 56.8% y-o-y.
As a result of the H1 and Q2 results, Manitou Group has now upgraded its guidance for 2026 with revenue now expected to show 6.5% growth and a recurring operating margin of between 5.3% and 5.6% of revenue.
In its half yearly report, Manitou states it continues to electrify it ranges, as part of its LIFT 2030 energy transition strategy, with initial deliveries of electric telehandlers (MT 1440 e and MT 1840 e).
It adds the creation of the HM Battery Solutions joint venture with Hangcha in Le Mans strengthens its lithium-ion battery supply chain.
“Driven by first-half momentum and a robust order book, the group is upgrading its full-year 2026 guidance,” Manitou states. “It now expects revenue growth between +6.5% and +8.0% (up from +5% previously) and a recurring operating margin between 5.3% and 5.6% (compared to initial guidance of 5.0%).
“These outlooks, which factor in proactive management of raw material price pressures, remain subject to an uncertain macroeconomic and geopolitical environment.”
