Logistics Leader of the Year Stefan Hohm (c)The Logistics Hall of Fame award ceremony was held in Berlin in late 2025 with Frank Dreeke, former CEO of BLG Logistics, inducted into the World Hall of Fame as “ an architect of modern seaport logistics”.
Dreeke’s induction follows a decision by a jury of 70 well-known personalities from business, science, politics, and the media, from across 13 nations.
Christian Hirte, parliamentary state secretary at the Federal Ministry for Transport, welcoming Dreeke into the Hall of Fame says: “With strategic foresight and a clear focus on efficiency and sustainability, Frank Dreeke initiated decisive changes in seaport logistics".
“He enabled cooperation and created structures that continue to have an impact today,” Hirte continues. “This has made him an architect of modern seaport logistics – an accomplishment that greatly impressed the international jury.”
At the awards ceremony, Stefan Hohm, chief development officer of German-headquartered logistics firm Dachser, was named the Logistics Leader of the Year.
Frank Müller, senior vice president sales & service business development at STILL, which sponsored the award, in his laudatory speech says Hohm exemplifies a modern understanding of leadership.
“One that sees change not as a risk but as a space for shaping the future,” Müller adds. “More decisive than the what of his innovations is the how: he creates structures in which new ideas can emerge, driven by attitude, teamwork, and the aspiration to do the right things right in the long term.”
The Lynn C Fritz Medal for Excellence in Humanitarian Logistics was awarded on the night to German aid organisation Welthungerhilfe (WHH) for its “Emergency Supply Prepositioning Strategy (ESUPS),” which improves national strategies for pre-positioning relief supplies in disaster-prone regions using the digital platform STOCKHOLM.
“This communication platform, which has led to rapid networking among key players, is exemplary for the entire field of humanitarian logistics,” says Anisya Thomas Fritz, co-founder of the Californian Fritz Institute.
“Today, 127 actors share inventory data with 800 logistics experts in 60 countries, paving the way for coordinated preparedness strategies to become established. These figures are truly impressive.”
