Linde MH receives the platinum EcoVadis medal againLinde Material Handling has been awarded a Platinum EcoVadis medal for the third consecutive year, achieving notable advancements across the four evaluation categories of environment, labor & human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
The German-based materials handling equipment producer and part of the KION Group, improved its overall score for the EcoVadis award from 83 last year to 92 this year.
“Over the past year, we have taken another major step forward in our sustainability efforts,” says Ulrike Just, member of the management board for Linde MH, sales & service EMEA. “This [award] reflects our ongoing and strategically anchored commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
“It also demonstrates to our customers that we are committed to supporting them on their own path toward greater sustainability as a responsible partner.”
Linde MH says a noteworthy improvement has been realised in the environment category where it scored 98 out of 100.
EcoVadis recognised Linde MH’s environmental policy as exemplary, noting its clearly defined coverage, clearly defined responsibilities, structured review mechanisms and measurable objectives.
For the first time, data on CO2 emissions during the use phase of sold products was provided at the brand level. This was acknowledged and positively evaluated in the EcoVadis rating.
Companies which apply for EcoVadis certification undergo a standardised assessment process which includes self-reporting via a questionnaire as well as documenting policies, certificates and evidence. EcoVadis experts then review the information and evaluate performance using a points system and a medal category.
