Guangdong Shenling Environmental Systems Co., Ltd., a leading environmental control solution provider headquartered in Shunde, has joined hands with Linde Material Handling to build a customized automated bin storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) at its Foshan intelligent manufacturing base.
Smart Warehousing Flowing in all directions
By adopting lean logistics planning, Linde has helped Shenling fully digitize its traditional warehousing and distribution processes. The solution uses box-type stacker cranes for dense storage, paired with conveyors and ergonomic picking stations, forming a stable and flexible smart integrated logistics system. It greatly improves warehouse space utilization and enables real-time response to production line changes through information integration.
To meet Shenling’s high throughput and high-density storage needs for over 10,000 bins, Linde deployed dual-station stacker cranes. With low investment and high stability, the system expands storage capacity to 12,480 bins, exceeding efficiency expectations. The Linde WMS optimizes order workflows: stacker cranes handle two bins per operation and can pick from two adjacent rows simultaneously, cutting handling frequency.
Each picking station features a human-centric tilted bin design, reducing pickers’ workload and improving operating comfort.
Chen Dalin, head of Shenling’s AS/RS project, stated that the automated system enables full-process intelligent inbound and outbound management, replacing manual work, boosting efficiency, lowering operating costs, and strengthening the supply chain.
Moving forward, Linde will continue to support Shenling and other enterprises with German automation technology and industrial logistics expertise, driving smart manufacturing upgrades.
