Konecranes reports record profitability in 2025Finnish materials handling equipment manufacturer Konecranes, in posting its financial results for Q4 2025, has revealed record profitability and strong orders for the year.
Operating profit for the year was reported as EUR542.4 million (USD638.77 million), a 6.1% increase year-on-year (y-o-y), or 13% of sales. Konecranes states restructuring costs had an impact on its profitability for the year.
CEO Mark Tulokas says this is the third consecutive year of profitability across all of Konecranes’ business areas.
The company’s order book at the end of December was EUR2.988 billion (USD3.526 billion), a year-on-year increase of 3.5% (or 7% on a comparable currency basis).
Operating profit for the quarter was EUR151.9 million (USD178.9 million), an increase of 3.8% y-o-y, representing 13.1% percent of sales, up from 12.1% the previous year.
Despite this, sales decreased in the quarter across all business areas to EUR1.163 billion (USD1.37 billion), down 4.1% y-o-y (-1.3% on a comparable currency basis).
Full year sales reached EUR4.187 billion (USD4.93 billion), down 0.9% y-o-y (or an increase of 0.7% on a comparable currency basis).
Konecranes states it expects net sales "to remain approximately on the same level or to increase in 2026 compared to 2025”.
“Within the industrial customers segment, we expect our demand environment to remain on a healthy level,” the company states.
“For our port customers, container throughput continues to be on a high level, and the long-term prospects for container handling remain good.
“However, uncertainty related to geopolitics and trade policy tensions remains high.”
