KION's Ching Pong Quek and Wang Mingyao with the forkliftKION’s intelligent ITS plant in Jinan, Shandong has celebrated the delivery of its 50,000th forklift, an electric counterbalance from KION brand Linde Material Handling.
KION describes its journey to the 50,000th forklift at the site as one of “continuous development”.
“Since its establishment, the ITS plant in Jinan has navigated global supply challenges and rapid scaling, anchored by a non-negotiable commitment: unified German quality standards and lean manufacturing principles in every process,” the company states.
Ching Pong Quek, president of KION ITS APAC says the milestone validates the company’s localisation strategy.
To mark the achievement, the key to the 50,000th forklift was handed to Wang Mingyao, chairman of Jinan Shengshi Yangguang, a long-term partner of KION ITS.
KION reports the ITS plant is now undergoing more enhancements to further improve quality and speed.
“Our goal is clear,” states Xie Jiahua, GM of the Jinan ITS facility. “We will produce and deliver the next 50,000 with even greater quality and higher speed to our global customers.”
