On July 21, the SDHI Global Partners Conference & Green Intelligent Products Exhibition (Hanoi) opened at the Vietnam Exposition Center (VEC). As a key strategic partner of Shandong Heavy Industry, KION Group presented an in-depth showcase of its automated intralogistics solutions. Mr. Ching Pong Quek, member of the Executive Board of KION Group, CTO of KION Group and President of ITS Asia Pacific, and Mr. Tee Seng Chuan, Managing Director of KION South Asia, attended the event to engage with global partners and explore opportunities for green, intelligent logistics.

KION Group delivers integrated solutions that are innovative, automated and orchestrated. This appearance not only highlighted KION’s technical capabilities but also underscored its commitment to the Southeast Asian market.

“In Vietnam, our products will be adapted to meet local market requirements,” Mr. Ching Pong Quek said in an interview. He added that KION will continue to grow in the region through product quality, technology, and compliant channel development to create sustainable value for Vietnamese customers.

In his keynote, Mr. Tee Seng Chuan emphasized KION’s efforts to strengthen its operations in Southeast Asia and noted that the establishment of a new local presence in Vietnam demonstrates the Group’s long-term commitment to the region. By expanding its channel partner network and providing more localized support, KION aims to accelerate customers’ smart logistics transformations.

At the booth, KION highlighted its automated intralogistics suite, which drew strong interest from attendees.

Featured at the show was the Linde AI Warehouse, a next-generation AI-powered pallet storage and picking solution built on KION’s in-house MyMA full-stack software and a six-direction shuttle AS/RS architecture. By eliminating the constraints of traditional aisles, the system enables six-direction shuttle movement and flexible storage configuration, maximizing the use of available warehouse space. Its AI capabilities continuously analyze order profiles, inventory distribution, routing and equipment resources to optimize slotting, streamline inbound and outbound flows, and improve picking efficiency. With its modular design, the solution can be deployed in both new and existing facilities, supports phased expansion, and helps reduce initial investment as well as long-term operating and upgrade costs. The system is well suited for a wide range of industries, including 3PL, retail, new energy, pharmaceuticals, cold chain and manufacturing.

Additional exhibits included a 7-ton Linde high-voltage lithium battery counterbalance forklift, a 2.5-ton Linde Battery Counterbalance Forklift Truck, and Linde Electric Pallet Truck, among other new-energy warehouse models. These products combine strong energy efficiency with reliable performance to meet Southeast Asia’s push for greener logistics. KION now offers a comprehensive new-energy product portfolio to give regional customers broader green material-handling options.

At a time when global supply chains are being reshaped and Southeast Asia’s logistics market is rapidly expanding, KION will continue to leverage SDHI’s global platform and work closely with partners to strengthen its competitiveness and respond rapidly to customer needs, driving digital and green transformation across the region.
