KION has achieved an EcoVadis Platinum Rating for two consecutive years
KION, a German-based manufacturer and supplier of forklifts, warehouse equipment, intelligent automation and control software, has been awarded a Platinum Medal in the 2026 EcoVadis Assessment of its operations.
Ecovadis, a provider of corporate sustainability ratings, evaluates businesses across four areas, namely environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
It assesses an organisation’s policies, actions, and outcomes in these areas before providing a rating. KION’s Platinum Medal rating places it among the top 1% of the more than 150,000 companies rated by EcoVadis globally in 2026.
Having first received a Platinum Medal rating in 2025, this latest result confirms that KION has maintained its standards. Indeed, given that the company scored 91 out of 100 points in this year’s assessment, the result is a considerable improvement on last year’s results.
“Maintaining and further improving our EcoVadis Platinum rating is a strong endorsement of KION’s sustainability progress and the effectiveness of our strategic approach,” says Valeria Gargiulo, chief people and sustainability officer at KION.
“It highlights the value of transparent reporting and reflects the dedication of our colleagues worldwide to continuously advancing our sustainability performance.”
