Jungheinrich has entered into a strategic partnership with Belgian-headquartered warehouse automation specialists Movu Robotics, with the aim of jointly developing highly automated pallet warehouse solutions for customers.

Movu produces four-way shuttle systems such as the Movu Atlas, which stores and retrieves pallets multi-deep, making them sought-after technologies for high-density warehouses, the company states.

Under the new agreement, Movu’s four-way shuttles will be integrated directly into the Jungheinrich warehouse management system and software ecosystem, which centrally manages inventory and optimises storage and retrieval. 

This, Movu states, will allow customers to gain high-density pallet warehouses and a seamless material flow from a single source where shuttle systems, conveyor technology and mobile robots are orchestrated through an integrated Jungheinrich software stack providing full visibility, reduced complexity and a scalable foundation for future growth.

Under the agreement, Jungheinrich becomes the preferred integrator for Movu’s shuttle systems, while Movu becomes the preferred supplier for Jungheinrich.
