UKMHA's latest report predicts forklift orders to jump 9.4%

In this week’s Forkliftaction News, optimism seems to have returned to the materials handling industry after what many have called a subdued 2025.

A report prepared for the UK Materials Handling Association is forecasting UK forklift orders to increase 9.4% in 2026, while the January Monthly Confidence Index for the US equipment finance sector has jumped a solid 6.3 points to start the year.

Lawyers for plaintiffs in a class action against Toyota over forklift emissions cheating have filed paperwork asking the judge to sign off on a settlement, which will see individual owners and lessees of the settlement class forklifts receive a cash payment.

In other news, Jungheinrich has launched its AntOn entry-level forklifts into the Asia Pacific market, AUSA’s rough-terrain forklifts have been launched into North America and Clark Europe appoints a distributor for Hungary.
