Southern Forklifters Private Limited (SFPL) has terminated its dealership agreement with Linde after representing the brand for more than 10 years.

SFPL was appointed as the exclusive dealer for Linde for the southern region of India in July 2004.

CEO Sreedhar Pinchi tells Forkliftaction News SFPL had been "the top sellers for Linde in India for many years during 2005 to 2015", selling and servicing almost 40% of the Linde fleet in the region.

SFPL will terminate its relationship with the German manufacturer at the end of this month.

The CEO says the company plans to "diversify our business more into logistics solutions and training activities, focus more on our (materials handling) rental business and hence have opted out of the LINDE dealership".

It is understood KION India is appointing new dealers for the region, but the company did not respond to questions from Forkliftaction News in time for this edition.
SFPL was established by a group of engineers with extensive experience in materials handling and represented Linde in the Southern Region of India covering Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andra Pradesh and Kerala.
