Impact Handling is now known as Aprolis Handling in the UK
Impact Handling, a British provider of materials handling equipment and support services, has changed its name to Aprolis Handling, which is the name of its French parent company.
The rebrand follows Aprolis Group’s 2021 acquisition of the UK business, which was established in Hull in 1985.
According to the company, the transition supports its ambition to create a stronger, more unified European platform that benefits customers, colleagues, partners and shareholders alike, while providing a platform for further growth.
“When Aprolis Group initially acquired Impact, we deliberately made the decision to retain the company name because of the strong reputation the business had built over many years and the respect it commanded throughout the industry,” says Steve Shakespeare, CEO of Aprolis Handling UK.
“That was the right decision at the time, as Impact is such an important part of the business and something we have been incredibly proud to have under the Aprolis UK banner.”
Aprolis Group, of which Aprolis UK is a subsidiary, is a well-established provider of materials handling solutions, which specialises in the sale, rental and maintenance of industrial equipment.
Apart from France and the UK, the company also operates across a number of international markets, including Spain, Italy, Portugal, Luxembourg and China. It offers a wide range of solutions designed to improve productivity, efficiency and fleet performance.
Aprolis Group is the material handling division of Monnoyeur, a global family-owned group headquartered in France with operations across 23 countries.
An international distributor of capital equipment for the construction, industrial, energy and agricultural sectors, Monnoyeur employs more than 9,000 people and generates annual revenues in excess of EUR3.4 billion (USD 3.92 billion).
