Crown's WT 3000 series pallet truck wins another award.

Crown's WT 3000 series pallet trucks have received a second international design prize.

The new series received the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) Gold Award 2011 in the Commercial and Industrial Products category.

The Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) defines exceptional industrial design as "intelligent, innovative and successful". To achieve excellence in design, IDSA says "the function, value and appearance of products and systems must be optimised for the mutual benefit of both user and manufacturer".

IDSA has awarded the IDEA since 1980. The Gold Award is the highest accolade, presented to the Crown truck series for its innovative engineering and ergonomics.

The vehicle's robust and operator-friendly design were also recognised earlier this year when the WT 3000 series received the iF Product Design Award 2011.
