Hyster-Yale Materials Handling has opened a new centre, featuring a showroom, training facilities and office space, in Mörfelden-Walldorf, Germany.

Known as the Experience Centre, the facility is intended to expand the presence of the Hyster and Yale forklift brands in Germany and help strengthen connections in neighbouring Central and Eastern European countries, as well as Turkey.

“Logistics is a key location factor for the Rhine-Main region,” says Karsten Groß, mayor of Mörfelden-Walldorf, who was on hand to cut the ribbon at the official opening ceremony.

“That is why we are pleased that an internationally successful U.S. corporation with renowned brands such as Hyster and Yale is investing here with us."

Located 10 minutes from Frankfurt Airport, the opening of the Experience Centre is a key component of Hyster-Yale Materials Handling’s growth strategy in the German market for forklifts and warehouse technology.

Modelled after similar facilities in the US and the Netherlands, the Experience Centre will also host the company’s annual dealer conference on June 24-25.

During this event, independent brand representatives will gain an understanding of how the facility can be used for conceptual collaboration with customers or as a training centre for service personnel.
