Hyster's J230-400XD series has won a prestigious awardYale Lift Truck Technologies has received a silver medal in the Most Innovative Product of the Year - Enterprise category at the prestigious Best in Biz Awards for its Yale Relay automation system, while sister company Hyster has taken silver in the Most Environmentally Friendly Product of the Year Category.
Hyster won the silver medal for its J230-400XD high-capacity electric forklifts with load capacities between 10T and 18T, which are powered by factory-integrated lithium-ion batteries, allowing intense operations to maintain productivity levels comparable to internal combustion engines (ICE), while producing zero emissions during operation
“The J230-400XD series offers a range of battery sizes to match specific duty cycle and charging requirements, configurable up to 280 kW,” Hyster states.
“The 350-volt architecture provides a right-sized solution for ICE-like performance and energy efficiency, enabling long run times and minimal energy loss without the additional cost and complexity of higher-voltage systems.”
An onboard Battery Management System (BMS) is also included, providing detailed information on battery health and overall performance while multiple performance modes allow operators to tailor deceleration and energy regeneration to suit specific tasks.
Based on the deceleration level selected, regenerative braking sends energy back to the battery, helping increase time between charges.
The Yale Relay System is a drag-and-drop portal that replaces the complex software coding requirements typically associated with forklift automation.
Both silver medal products were launched in March 2025.
The Best in Biz Awards were founded in 2011 and are judged by prestigious media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Forbes and Fortune and Inc., ensuring an independent panel.
