Chinese forklift manufacturer HELI has launched its new G3 Series 12-18T heavy-duty lithium-ion powered forklifts, marking what it says is a new stage in its heavy-duty electrification.

HELI explains a redesigned heavy-duty chassis supports stability and durability in intensive applications, while the intelligent control system is designed to reduce operating effort for the 12T to 18T capacity forklifts.

The series also features a versatile battery platform and full-shift endurance, helping customers maintain productivity across large-scale manufacturing, ports, railway freight yards, mining and metallurgical operations.

The launch, held recently at HELI Industrial Park in Hefei, was both a physical and online celebration, broadcast to partners and customers globally with a bilingual livestream.

Following the unveiling, Olympic weightlifting champion and a coach of China’s National Weightlifting Team, Shi Zhiyong, took the new forklift for an on-site test drive where the forklift lifted and handled a multi-tonne industrial load, with Heli explaining this gave guests “a direct view of its power delivery, stability and manoeuvrability”. 

HELI says the launch of the G3 Series represents the next stage in its development of heavy-duty, lithium-electric products, and has committed to continued investment in new energy technologies, intelligent equipment and application-focused product development. 

It also says it will continue working with customers and partners worldwide to advance more efficient, reliable and lower-emission solutions for heavy-duty material handling.
