Hangcha opens Thai manufacturing facilityHangcha Group Manufacturing (Thailand) has been officially opened, marking the company’s first self-owned overseas manufacturing base.
Located in Chonburi’s industrial hub, the site is pivotal to Hangcha’s ambitions of global expansion and manufacturing, it states.
The site spans 35,000 sqm and will host production and development of forklifts, aerial work platforms and other industrial vehicles as well as having facilities for R&D, sales and support.
Hangcha Group general manager, Jason Wu, told those attending the inauguration ceremony at the site, that Chonburi was chosen because it sits in the heart of South East Asia’s manufacturing supply chain and will serve as a bridge connecting Hangcha with global markets.
He Chunping, general manager of Hangcha Group Manufacturing (Thailand), said the facility was expected to realise full capacity by 2028, with an annual output of around 10,000 units of aerial work platforms and telehandlers.
Hangcha says it will continue to expand its product portfolio and develop into a comprehensive intelligent manufacturing hub in Southeast Asia, integrating production, R&D, sales, and service from the Thai site.
