GemOne releases new AI-powered detection cameraBelgian smart telematics provider GemOne, has released its second-generation AI pedestrian proximity detection camera which can have up to four camera feeds and full telematics on a single seven-inch display.
GemOne says the solution is expected to “transform safety in warehouses and production facilities” as it is a step beyond current market offerings by providing a fully integrated telematics solution.
GemOne adds the AI-powered pedestrian proximity detection camera enhances warehouse safety protocols by identifying pedestrians in its path and providing real-time visual and audio alerts to the driver.
The additional cameras on the one feed helps to reduce blind spots for equipment operators, acting as an extra safety feature.
The system has a 25-foot (7.6m) range of detection as well as robust visual and audible operator warnings, to notify of pedestrian movement.
GemOne says the system also helps to create a record for compliance audits “so companies can get to the bottom of incidents quicker, take actions to minimise the risk of future incidents, and in the long-run, avoid costly fines”.
The new camera system is a plug-and-play solution, using a magnetic mounted custom bracket, while the starlight night vision mode ensures recordings continue in dimly-lit environments.
Sam Silva, COO with GemOne says of the solution: “It is critical that our customers are at the forefront of the newest, proven safety technology”.
“It is the goal of GemOne to offer this technology in a way that allows our customers to gain the most value for their investment,” Silva adds. “That is why we strive to change the way the material handling telematics market has been traditionally served.”
