Mitch Milovich, former President/CEO of Linde North America, has passed away aged 83.
Beginning his materials handling career in the early 1960s, Milovich founded Lift Atlanta Inc, a Linde Distributor, in 1975.
In 1991, he was appointed president/CEO of Linde North America. Serving in these roles until 2005, he returned to Lift Atlanta Inc., the family business he ran alongside his son Mark Milovich until 2025.
In that year, after almost 50 years of operation, the two decided to sell the business to BMH Equipment.
Mark Milovich remembers his father as “a simple man who never forgot where he came from and loved his entire family dearly”.
“My family is from Lorain, Ohio – a simple blue-collar steel town on the shores of Lake Erie, where hard work, family, friends, and neighbours have meaning,” says Milovich.
“He never forgot that. He never forgot his very humble beginnings as the son of a steel worker.”
Mitch Milovich is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joanne Milovich, his son Mark, his daughter-in-law, his grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren.
