ELME's new Pioneer 817 spreaderSwedish container handling solutions provider ELME has launched four new spreaders for container handling.
The Vectrix range has been expanded to include two new container spreaders - the 8610 Vectrix and the 8615 Vectrix - which have been designed for mounting on RMG and RTG cranes.
Both the 8610 Vectrix and 8615 Vectrix are telescopic piggyback top lift spreaders for intermodal handling of laden ISO containers and trailers weighing up to 45T.
The 8610 Vectrix has 20 ft. (6m) and 40 ft. (12m) telescopic positions while the 8615 Vectrix has 20ft., 40ft. and 45ft. (13m) telescopic positions.
“Central to its performance is the idea of vector meets matrix - a balance of strength, durability, and smart mechanics,” ELME states of the new Vectrix models.
“This synergy allows the Vectrix spreaders to be energy efficient and at the same time robust and trustworthy.
“The strong and basic concept offers advantages, such as two parallel telescopic beams, assuring max overlap. Beam sections dimensioned to absorb not only the vertical, but also the very considerable horizontal forces.”
ELME adds the leg arrangement is done according to its own design system, which is a load clamping system that involves all four foldable piggyback legs in an automatic sequence. This allows the spreader to be lowered between containers that are block stacked front-to-front and side-to-side.
ELMA has also recently launched two new container spreaders with a capacity up to 55T.
The Pioneer 817 spreader is for reach stackers while the Pioneer 818 is for gantry-mounted forklifts.
Both models are available in three configurations: 55T capacity, a 45T durability configuration, and a 45 ft. lift position, to match different operational requirements.
ELME says the fully reinforced design enables lifting between standard positions, supporting flexible operations, while generous access simplifies maintenance and service.
