Canadian lithium-ion battery technology developer and manufacturer Electrovaya, has announced a USD10.5 million deal for new Infinity battery system purchases by an unnamed Fortune 500, US-based company, to operate its electric materials handling equipment fleet.

The sale was achieved through Electrovaya’s original equipment manufacturer sales channel.

The order will see the Infinity battery system, which Electrovaya says has been engineered for demanding, high-duty-cycle applications, deployed at multiple distribution centres operated by the customer.

“We are pleased to receive this latest order from a strategic customer,” says Dr. Jeremy Dang, vice president of business development at Electrovaya.

“Electrovaya is proud to support our customers’ shift toward safe, and long-lasting energy solutions for their logistics operations. Additional orders are also anticipated as they continue to advance their electrification strategy.”
