Intella is looking for North America's oldest working YaleMichigan-based after-market forklift parts supplier Intella Parts Company is holding a competition to find the oldest Yale forklift still in operation in North America.
First prize for the Oldest Yale Forklift Contest is USD100 in Intella Parts credit and a USD100 Visa gift card.
“Yale forklift owners, businesses, and equipment operators are invited to submit photos and details about their older Yale lift trucks that are still running today,” Intella Parts states.
“From vintage units still handling daily jobs to older machines kept in working condition through years of care and maintenance, Intella Parts wants to hear the stories behind these classic forklifts.”
Previous competitions held by Intella Parts have found the oldest Hyster forklift in 2023 - a 1945 Hyster KD Karry Krane Phillip DeLuna, owned by Public Steel in Amarillo, Texas.
In 2024 the search for the oldest Toyota turned up a 1978 Toyota 42-3FGC20 owned by Alexander Toolsie from Burlington, Ontario, and in 2025 the Oldest Raymond Forklift Contest revealed a 1965 Raymond 20-R40TT owned by Hank Czerwick from Detroit Tube Products, Detroit, Michigan.
The 2026 Yale search is open to businesses or individuals with old Yale forklifts which are still in good working order.
Marcel VandenTop, president of Intella Parts says: “We work with thousands of customers who rely on Yale forklifts every day”.
“Many of them have older models still going strong, and we thought it would be fun to recognise that dedication,” he adds.
“This contest is our way of honouring the legacy of Yale forklifts and the teams that maintain them.”
