The WJ 50 Series is recommended for use in wholesale, retail, truck transport and kerbside deliveries
International materials handling solution provider, Crown has received an iF Design award for its WJ 50 Series pedestrian pallet truck.
The award, in the Industry/Tools/Machinery sub-category of the broader Product Design category, was adjudicated following a multi-stage evaluation process that focussed on several factors including the product’s concept, form, function, innovation and sustainability.
Equipped with a V-Force 48 V lithium-ion battery, the pedestrian pallet trucks in Crown's WJ 50 Series are recommended for use in wholesale and retail operations, truck transport and kerbside deliveries.
According to Crown, the pallet truck stood out for its energy efficiency and durable, user-focused design.
Introduced in 1954, and held annually by the iF International Forum Design, the iF Design awards are recognised as among the most prestigious awards of their kind. Apart from the Product category, further award categories include Packaging, Communication, Interior Architecture, Professional Concept, Service Design / UX, and Architecture.
This year an independent jury of 129 international leading design and sustainability experts used a rigorous, transparent process to evaluate more than 10,000 submissions from 68 countries to evaluate these submissions before announcing the winners.
The awards will be presented as part of a ceremony in Berlin on 27 April.
