Clark Europe opens its new site in DuisburgClark Europe has expanded its direct sales operations with the opening of a new western branch directly opposite its European headquarters in Germany’s Duisburg.
The site covers 3,441 sqm and includes a dedicated R&D centre as well as an international spare parts centre, covering 1,913sqm, where more than 23,000 items are stored.
The new site is starting with a staff of nine but there are already plans to expand.
Clark Europe explains it is now “focusing more on direct sales” as it looks to better exploit market potential in the Ruhr region, one of Europe's most densely industrialised areas, by maximising proximity to customers.
Stefan Budweit, president & CEO Clark Europe, says the opening of the West branch is not only a clear commitment to the Duisburg region, but also an essential step for the company’s European growth strategy.
“Through direct sales, we are creating an exclusive interface to advise customers directly from the factory with our entire know-how and to consolidate long-term partnerships on an equal footing,” Budweit continues.
