AI agents perform various tasks, including management of labour performance and safety compliance
US-based third-party logistics provider CJ Logistics America has incorporated AiOn, OneTrack's agentic AI platform for physical operations, into the daily operations across its network of more than 40 warehouses.
Continuing a seven-year partnership between the two companies, the deployment moves agentic AI out of pilot mode and into the workflows that run CJ Logistics America's business.
“We run very large, very complex operations, and we aspire to be on the leading edge of how they're run,” says Brad Nuffer, COO of CJ Logistics America.
“Before AI, the complexity of our operations meant we could only address a portion of the available opportunity, because our teams were fully committed to existing processes.”
According to Nuffer, the introduction of AiOn allows opportunities to surface on their own. Rather than having to search for these opportunities, CJ Logistics America’s staff are able to simply act on them.
In other words, before forklifts begin to operate in any of the company’s warehouses, AI agents track gap time, manage labour performance, automate safety compliance, and optimise layouts across the network.
For example, in the case of OHS, AI agents independently detect safety and compliance events, manage resolution, and generate the required documentation automatically. Previously, when completed manually, this work would require hours of supervisor time per incident.
“Moving from passive historical reporting to an active floor tool has unlocked a level of on-demand scalability we haven't seen in previous implementations,” says Justin Krum, vice president, operations, CJ Logistics America
“This capability has fundamentally altered our aggregate trajectory, compressing network lost time by 19.7% and delivering a clear, data-backed value lift straight to our active run rate.”
