Cascade's Davide Roncari and Eurofork's Maurizio TraversaForklift and automated guided vehicle (AGV) attachments, forks and masts manufacturer Cascade Corporation, is awaiting European regulatory approval to complete its acquisition of 60% of Turin-headquartered automated handling solutions provider Eurofork.
Italian-founded Eurofork specialises in developing pallet shuttle systems and automated handling systems, and boasts 130,000 applications installed across 93 countries.
US-based Cascade says the investment in Eurofork strengthens its own position in the advanced logistics and automated warehousing sector and expands its product portfolio, while supporting Eurofork’s growth ambitions.
“Eurofork is a well-established and respected provider of automated warehouse technologies,” says Cascade’s president and CEO Davide Roncari.
“This majority investment expands Cascade’s presence in advanced logistics applications, offering customers a broader and more comprehensive range of solutions, while supporting Eurofork’s continued focus on system integrators, technical excellence, and global customer support.”
Under the majority share acquisition agreement, Eurofork will continue to operate as an independent company, retaining its current leadership team and governance structure, with Maurizio Traversa remaining in his role as CEO and managing director.
“The entry of Cascade Corporation represents an important step in Eurofork’s growth journey, enabling us to strengthen a strategy we have been pursuing for years: to be recognised as a Tier 1 supplier by system integrators worldwide,” explains Traversa.
The purchase of the Eurofork stake follows news in March that Cascade had acquired a majority stake in Austrian-based Cargometer, which specialises in 3D weight dimensioning on moving AGVs and forklifts.
