West Bend, WI
Wisconsin-headquartered materials handling equipment dealer Wolter Inc has continued its rapid expansion with the acquisition of Flatley Dock Systems.
Wolter explains Flatley Dock Systems, based in West Bend, Wisconsin, serves customers across the Milwaukee metro area and Chicagoland with sales, service and support for dock levellers, vehicle restraints, dock seals and shelters, lifts, safety products, commercial doors, aftermarket parts and maintenance programs.
Wolter adds the acquisition strengthens its ability to support customers with expanded dock and door expertise, additional service team members, and broader product access, while creating new opportunities to bring more complete facility solutions to market, including forklifts, automation, warehouse storage systems, and advanced fleet management tools.
“Flatley has earned the trust of its customers by responding quickly, doing quality work and building relationships that last,” says Jerry Weidmann, CEO of Wolter Inc. “Bringing that team and expertise into Wolter strengthens our ability to support customers throughout the Milwaukee and Chicago markets. It is a practical investment in the people, resources and capabilities our customers depend on to keep their facilities operating.”
Wolter has been expanding aggressively this year acquiring CSI Materials Handling in April and Delta Materials Handling in July.

Big Joe becomes hockey team sponsor
Wisconsin-headquartered electric materials handling equipment producer, Big Joe Forklifts, has been named as an official sponsor of the United States Hockey League (USHL) team, the Madison Capitols, for the 2026-27 season.
The partnership coincides with the team relocating from Middleton to DeForest Yards, the same area which serves as headquarters for Big Joe Forklifts.
The equipment producer states the partnership represents an opportunity for it to support a growing local organisation while strengthening its connection to the DeForest community. Big Joe moved its headquarters to DeForest, Wisconsin in 2024 after being based in the Wisconsin Dells since the 50s.
“We’re proud to partner with the Madison Capitols as they enter this exciting new era in DeForest,” says Big Joe CEO Dan Rosskamm. “Big Joe has deep roots in this community, and we’re excited to support an organisation that shares our commitment to bringing people together, investing in the future and creating opportunities for the next generation.”
