Donkey Forklifts names Colorado distributor

Colorado-based manufacturer Donkey Forklifts has named Welch Equipment Company as the latest dealership to join its distributor network.

Founded in 1985, Welch Equipment is a trusted name in materials handling throughout the Rocky Mountain region, providing equipment sales, rentals, service, parts, warehouse solutions, and industrial power systems across a wide range of industries.

Welch Equipment will now offer customers direct access to Donkey’s equipment line-up including its truck-mounted single axle solution.

Donkey Forklifts, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, was founded in Colorado and says the expansion marks a return to its roots. Donkey’s equipment is now manufactured in Mississippi.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Donkey and officially bring their innovative equipment to customers throughout our territory,” says Jason Struletz, director of sales at Welch Equipment. 

BHS releases new order picker attachments

Missouri-based manufacturer of customer materials handling equipment, BHS, has released a new line of four attachments for order pickers which feature modular components for task-based optimisation.

The new line includes Order Picker Furniture Carts and Order Picker Furniture Platforms which are sized to fit the longer forks of furniture order picker trucks.

Also included in the new line are Modular Order Picker Carts outfitted with heavy-duty casters, allowing them to double as pushcarts for ground-level inventory management, and Modular Order Picker Platforms which omit the casters, functioning solely as attachments for order picker trucks. 

“With the growth in narrow-aisle racking, more warehouses are relying on order picker trucks,” explains Trent Boothe, technical sales manager at BHS. 

The modular solution allows custom-design without the wait of custom lead times, he adds.

Aldridge container depot picks up new handler

UK shipping container hire and sales specialists S Jones Containers has acquired a new low-emission Svetruck empty container handler, as it expands operations and investment to meet demand.

The expansion of the company’s flagship Aldridge site follows a sustained rise in demand – the depot operated at between 85% and 95% capacity during H1 2026 - and has included investing in new plant equipment.

The site has increased capacity by 200 TEU (20 ft. equivalent units), taking its total storage capacity to 2,600 TEU.

The new container handler increases the fleet size at the depot to three machines, to handle the 100 containers it averages each day, and also supports its continual improvement under ISO 14001 for environmental management and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety.

The manufacuter of the empty container handler was not named.
