Logistics UK will host a webinar on impacts of Middle East conflictWebinar to help guide industry through current challenges
London, United Kingdom
The conflict in the Middle East is a growing cause of concern for the supply chain, as businesses learn to navigate the increasing fuel prices and disruptions.
Industry body Logistics UK will host a webinar on Tuesday, April 28 to help its members with a focus on practical issues and concerns affecting businesses across the UK logistics sector.
The webinar will be held between 11am and 12pm GMT and has been arranged in partnership with Portland Fuel and myAutomate.
“Expert speakers will provide insights on current fuel price volatility and market trends, practical tools to help operators manage fuel costs and risk and guidance on fuel purchasing, data and contracting approaches,” Logistics UK states.
Logistics UK chief executive, Ben Fletcher, says the sector tends to operate on “incredibly narrow margins”.
“The logistics industry cannot continue to absorb significant price rises and must pass on the increased charges to its customers, and ultimately, consumers,” Fletcher adds.
