Indiana-based Allison Transmission Holdings has paid USD2.7 billion for the off-highway drive and motion systems business of Dana Incorporated, with the combined company to be headquartered in Indianapolis.
Alison says the combination of products and advanced technologies “will accelerate Allison’s growth and broaden the company’s position as a global provider of commercial duty mobility and work solutions”.
The combined business will be led by Allison chair and CEO, David Graziosi.
“Together, we have an expanded market reach and broader portfolio of high-quality and reliable products, creating a global platform that will continue to deliver strong financial performance from both organic and inorganic growth,” Graziosi says.
“Our talented colleagues are dedicated to helping support our customers and their end users to better capitalise on the global megatrends shaping the modern industrial world.”

Nashville-headquartered family-owned forklift dealership Bailey Equipment & Intralogistics, has moved into the Washington market with the acquisition of Equipment Depot’s Washington state operation.
Bailey was founded in Nashville in 1949 and now has operations in Tennessee, North Georgia and Kentucky.
With this acquisition, Bailey will establish regional headquarters in Kent, Washington and will become the authorised dealer for Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks and Jungheinrich and the Logisnext dealer for Cat Lift Trucks in the state.
Bailey is the US’s first TRUE certified zero waste forklift dealership.
